The Opus 300 system is based on commonly available Cat5 and coaxial cabling delivering audio and video throughout the home from a central hub. The MCU300 (hub) is usually located in a service cupboard but is so small that it can also be mounted behind a hi-fi system enabling existing source components to be shared across the home. In every room simple keypads and remote controls provide intuitive yet sophisticated control over the system and sleek in-ceiling speakers guarantee punchy stereo reproduction. Opus 300 delivers new standards at a more affordable price than ever before using low-cost and easy to install Cat5 cable to deliver music, power and control commands to each keypad. As such, no additional power supply is required. There’s even a ‘keypad free’ option thanks to the revolutionary remote controlled AMR650 active in-ceiling speaker. An Opus 300 master control unit (MCU300) will serve up to eight rooms, four main zones and four sub zones, which can even be daisy-chained to allow a single system to serve as many as 32 rooms. Up to six sources can be connected to enable each room to enjoy different music and / or video concurrently. Video is distributed by a simple but highly effective video switching unit(VSU300) and a single run of high quality RG6/CT100 co-axial cable to each room. A range of accessories is also available to ensure the perfect Opus 300 set-up. These include IR emitters, learning remote controls and extra power supplies for use when sub-zones are included. Additionally, premium speakers and brushed steel keypads are often selected as upgrades.
